Walt Disney's The Magic Kingdom
The Magic Kingdom is the heart and soul of the Disney
empire. Although it is a small world after all, at just 107
acres (smaller, than any of Disney's other big three parks)
Packed into seven different "lands" are nearly 50 major crowd
pleasers, and that's not counting all the ancillary attractions:
shops, eateries, live entertainment, Disney-character
meet-and-greet spots, fireworks, parades, and, of course, the
sheer pleasure of strolling through the beautifully landscaped
grounds.
Walt Disney's Epcot
Epcot, which stands for an "Experimental Prototype Community of
Tomorrow," was the original inspiration for Walt Disney World.
Disney envisioned a future in which nations coexisted in peace
and harmony, reaping the miraculous harvest of technological
achievement. When the park opened in 1982, 16 years after
Disney's death, Epcot became a showcase, ostensibly, for the
concepts that would be incorporated into the real-life Epcots of
the future. These days, it's composed of two parts: Future
World, where most pavilions are colorful collaborations between
Walt Disney Imagineering and major U.S. corporations and are
designed to demonstrate technological advances; and the World
Showcase, where exhibition areas are microcosms of 11 countries
from four continents.
Walt Disney's Hollywood Studios
Disney's Hollywood Studios combines Disney's attention to detail
with motion pictures and Walt Disney's own animated film
classics. The park was designed to be a trip back in time to
Hollywood's heyday, when Hedda Hopper, not tabloids, spread
celebrity gossip and when the girl off the bus from Ohio could
be the next Judy Garland. The result blends a theme park with
fully functioning movie and television production capabilities,
breathtaking rides with insightful tours, and nostalgia with
high-tech wonders.
Walt Disney's Animal Kingdom
Humankind's enduring love for animals is the inspiration for
WDW's fourth theme park, Disney's Animal Kingdom. At 500 acres
and five times the size of the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom is
the largest in area of all Disney theme parks worldwide. The
space gives Disney Imagineers plenty of scope for their
creativity, and it allows for growth, an example of which is
Expedition Everest. Opened in 2006, it's the park's biggest
thrill attraction- a runaway train ride on a rugged mountain
complete with icy ledges, dark caves, and a yeti legend.

SeaWorld: Aquatica
Opened March 2008, this SeaWorld-created, 60-acre park offers
plenty of water rides and attractions for all ages in a South
Sea Islands atmosphere and unique waterpark setting where guests
have a chance to interact with select sea animals. Aquatica's
signature ride, Dolphin Plunge, features side-by-side body
slides that shoot riders through a pool with black and white
Commerson's dolphins. In addition to the dolphins and fish,
handlers walk around the park with other animals, including a
tortoise and an anteater.
